Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account and data from Master Caddies, the golf caddie app published by Lemmings, LLC. It applies to the app on both Google Play and the App Store.

How to request deletion

If you still have the app
  1. Open Master Caddies.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Confirm when asked.

You do not need an account or a sign-in to do this. It works whether or not you have ever signed in, and it deletes the data held for your device as well as anything synced to our servers.

If you have already uninstalled the app
  1. Email info@followrover.com from any address, and ask us to delete your account.
  2. Include your account reference — the first eight characters of your account ID, shown on the Profile tab in the app. Accounts are anonymous, so this is what ties the request to your data.
  3. We will confirm by reply once the deletion is complete.

If you have already removed the app and cannot look the reference up, email us anyway. Tell us roughly when you last played and anything you bought, and we will work out what we can match on before deleting anything.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes the following permanently. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it afterwards.

  • Your player profile — name, skill level, shot shape, ball flight, miss tendency, scoring goal, and the club distances in your bag.
  • Your rounds — scores, putts, fairways, hazards, and the GPS track recorded while you played.
  • Your scorecards — including any scorecard photographs you submitted from your own rounds.
  • Your voice questions — the text of what you asked the caddie and the answers it gave. The audio is never kept: it is transcribed and discarded at the time you ask.
  • Your link to any purchase — the connection between you and anything you bought is removed, so no remaining record points back to you.
  • Your account itself — the anonymous account the app created for you, and any Sign in with Apple identity attached to it.

What is kept, and why

  • Transaction records. Apple and Stripe process payments for the app and for our website, and both we and they are required to retain records of a completed transaction for tax, accounting, and refund and chargeback handling. We keep those records with the link to you removed — the transaction remains, the identification of who made it does not. Retention of those records is set by tax and financial regulation rather than by us.
  • Course data. Our course database — hole layouts, distances, mapping and similar — carries no personal identifier and is not about you. Anything you contributed that improved it stays in that aggregate form, with nothing attached that identifies you or your rounds.

How long it takes

Deleting from the Profile tab in the app is immediate. Your data is removed as you confirm it.

A request by email is completed within 30 days of us receiving it. Until it is carried out, the data described above is retained; after it, only the de-identified records named in “What is kept” remain. Routine encrypted backups may hold a copy for a short period after deletion, and those expire on their own cycle; nothing is restored from them to an active system.
