Rover Store Terms of Sale
Effective September 16, 2026
These Terms are in effect for purchases made from this store. A final version reviewed by counsel will replace them.
These Terms of Sale (“Terms”) apply to every purchase from the Rover store at followrover.com, whether you check out online or pay through a quote or payment link we send you. The seller is Lemmings, LLC (“Rover,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please read Section 10 (Limited Warranty), Section 12 (Limitation of Liability), and Section 13 (Disputes) carefully. They limit our responsibility to you.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By placing an order, checking the box at checkout, or paying a quote or payment link from us, you agree to these Terms. The version of these Terms posted on the date you place your order (or pay your quote) governs that purchase. We may update these Terms for future orders by posting a new version on this page.
You must be at least 18 years old to buy from us. We currently sell and ship only to addresses in the United States.
Some laws give consumers rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract. Nothing in these Terms limits any right that the law does not allow to be limited. If you are buying for a business, such as a golf course, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that business.
2. What These Terms Cover
These Terms cover Rover robotic caddie units, replacement parts, batteries, and accessories bought from our store.
They do not cover:
- The Master Caddies mobile app, which has its own terms at /terms/app.
- Leases, which are governed by a separate agreement with our finance partner.
- Course partner agreements, which are governed by their own contracts.
3. Orders, Quotes, and Acceptance
Order confirmation is not acceptance. The confirmation email you receive after checkout confirms that we received your order. We accept your order when we ship it or confirm acceptance in writing.
We may decline or cancel any order, including after confirmation, for reasons such as a pricing or listing error, lack of inventory, inability to deliver to your address, or suspected fraud. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund the full amount you paid.
Request Order and quotes. Some items are sold by quote rather than online checkout. This currently includes lithium batteries and Rover units. A quote is valid for 30 days unless it states otherwise. Paying the payment link we send you accepts the quote and these Terms.
Quantity limits. We may limit the quantity of any item per order or per customer.
4. Pricing and Payment
Prices. All prices are in U.S. dollars. You will be charged the price shown at checkout or on your written quote, plus applicable shipping and sales tax.
Pricing errors. If an item is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the order before it ships and refund any payment, even if we have already sent a confirmation.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card or bank account numbers.
Card payments are charged when you place your order.
ACH / bank payments take several business days to settle and can fail or be reversed after you place your order. We may hold shipment until an ACH payment has fully settled. If any payment fails, is returned, or is reversed after we ship:
- You remain responsible for the full purchase price.
- Title to the product stays with us until we receive payment in full (see Section 6).
- We may require immediate payment by another method, and, if payment is not made, you must return the product at your expense or allow us to recover it.
- You are responsible for returned-payment fees and reasonable collection costs, to the extent permitted by law.
Payment disputes and chargebacks. If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first at info@followrover.com. We will work with you to resolve it. If you file a chargeback for a valid charge on a product you received, we may contest it and provide your order and delivery records to your bank.
5. Shipping, Freight, and Delivery
Shipping charges.
- Parts and accessories ship at the flat rate shown at checkout.
- Rover units ship by freight for a flat $200 within the United States. After purchase, we contact you by phone to schedule delivery.
- Lithium batteries ship under restricted shipping rules. Shipping is quoted individually.
No guaranteed delivery date. Any shipping or delivery date we give you is an estimate, not a guarantee. We are not responsible for carrier delays.
Delays. If we cannot ship your order within 30 days after we receive full payment, we will notify you. You may then cancel the order for a full refund or agree to a new shipping date.
Freight delivery of units.
- Freight delivery is curbside, to the ground-level delivery address. Liftgate, inside, or placement delivery is not included unless we agree to it in writing.
- An adult (18 or older) must be present at the scheduled delivery to inspect the shipment and sign for it.
- The delivery address must be reachable by a freight truck.
Missed, refused, or failed delivery. If a scheduled freight delivery cannot be completed because no one is present, the address is inaccessible, or the address information you gave us was wrong, you are responsible for redelivery, storage, and return charges. If you refuse delivery for any reason other than visible shipping damage noted under Section 6, the refusal will be treated as a return under Section 11, including return freight and restocking fees.
6. Title and Risk of Loss
Risk of loss passes to you when the product is delivered to your delivery address.
Title passes to you when both of the following have happened: the product has been delivered, and we have received payment in full.
Inspect every freight delivery before you sign. You must:
- Inspect the packaging and the unit before signing the delivery receipt.
- Write any visible damage or missing pieces on the delivery receipt before signing. If there is damage, photograph it before the driver leaves.
- Report visible damage to us within 48 hours of delivery, and damage not visible at delivery (concealed damage) within 5 days of delivery, at info@followrover.com or 980-349-8156, with photos.
- Keep all packaging until we tell you it can be discarded. The carrier may need to inspect it.
When damage is reported on time, we will file the freight claim and will repair or replace the damaged product. If visible damage was not noted on the delivery receipt, or damage is not reported within these time limits, we may be unable to recover from the carrier and may deny the claim, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Intended Use and Safety
A Rover unit is a motorized machine that moves under its own power. You agree to:
- Read and follow the owner's manual, safety instructions, and all warnings before use.
- Use the unit only for its intended purpose: carrying a golf bag on golf courses and similar maintained turf.
- Follow all golf course rules, including rules about where carts and caddies may go.
- Follow the manual's guidance on slopes, wet or uneven ground, water hazards, bunkers, and weather.
- Never ride on, stand on, or tow with the unit, and never load it beyond its stated capacity.
- Never operate the unit on public roads or streets.
- Never allow anyone under 18 to operate the unit without direct adult supervision.
- Never modify the unit, its software, or its battery, or use parts, batteries, or chargers not approved by Rover.
- Stop using the unit immediately and contact us if it is damaged or not working correctly.
You are responsible for how the unit is used, including by anyone you allow to use it. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for, and to reimburse us for, claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from use of the product in violation of this Section or from any modification of the product not made by Rover.
8. Lithium Batteries
Rover batteries are lithium batteries and require care.
- Charge only with the Rover-approved charger, and follow the manual's charging and storage instructions.
- Do not use, charge, or ship a battery that is swollen, punctured, leaking, overheated, or otherwise damaged.
- Do not throw batteries in household trash. Recycle or dispose of them as required by law.
- All batteries lose capacity gradually with use and age. Normal loss of capacity is not a defect.
- Because of hazardous-materials shipping rules, batteries cannot be returned once shipped, except under the Limited Warranty (Section 10) or if they arrive damaged (Section 6).
9. Software, Connectivity, and Data
Rover units include software. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that software only as part of the Rover unit you purchased. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or modify the software, except where the law expressly allows it. If you sell or transfer the unit, this license transfers with it.
We may provide software updates. Some features may require updates, a compatible mobile device, or the Master Caddies app, which is governed by its own terms.
Rover units use sensors, which may include cameras and location sensors, to operate. Information we collect is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Limited Warranty
Who is covered. This Limited Warranty is given by Lemmings, LLC to the original purchaser of a product bought from the Rover store. If you sell a covered Rover unit, the remaining warranty transfers to the new owner if you notify us of the transfer at info@followrover.com.
What is covered, and for how long. We warrant that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for the period below, starting on the date of delivery:
| Product | Warranty period |
|---|---|
| New Rover unit — major components (frame and chassis, drive motors, motor controllers, and main control electronics) | 4 years |
| New Rover unit — all other components | 1 year |
| Certified refurbished Rover unit | 1 year |
| Batteries (sold with a unit or separately) | 1 year |
| Replacement parts and accessories | 90 days |
What we will do. If a covered product has a defect during the warranty period, we will, at our option, repair it or replace it (with new or refurbished parts or products). If we cannot repair or replace it, we will refund the purchase price of the defective item. Repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period. For valid claims, we cover shipping for replacement parts we send to you and, if we require a unit to be sent to us, freight both ways.
What is not covered. This warranty does not cover:
- Damage from misuse, accidents, collisions, falls, submersion in water, fire, or use in violation of Section 7.
- Damage from repairs, modifications, or software changes not made or authorized by Rover.
- Damage from parts, batteries, or chargers not approved by Rover.
- Normal wear and tear, including tires and wheels, cosmetic wear, scratches, and dents.
- Normal gradual loss of battery capacity.
- Shipping damage, which is handled under Section 6.
- Products not purchased from Rover or an authorized Rover seller.
How to make a claim. Contact us before the warranty period ends at info@followrover.com or 980-349-8156 with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos or video if possible. We may troubleshoot with you remotely first. Please do not disassemble the unit unless we ask you to. Products sent to us without our authorization may be refused.
Implied warranties. Any implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the warranty period stated above, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Except for this Limited Warranty, products are sold without other express warranties. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.
Incidental and consequential damages. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages resulting from a breach of this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
11. Returns and Refunds
All returns require a Return Authorization. Contact info@followrover.com or 980-349-8156 before sending anything back. Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
New Rover units.
- Request a Return Authorization within 14 days of delivery.
- The unit must be undamaged, in like-new condition, with all accessories, manuals, and original packaging.
- You pay return freight, which we will quote in advance. The original $200 freight charge is not refundable.
- A restocking fee of 15% of the unit price applies.
Certified refurbished units are final sale. They remain covered by the Limited Warranty.
Parts and accessories.
- Request a Return Authorization within 30 days of delivery.
- Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in their original packaging.
- You pay return shipping. No restocking fee applies.
Final sale items (no returns except under the Limited Warranty or Section 6):
- Batteries, once shipped.
- Electrical parts that have been installed or used.
- Special-order items and items marked “final sale.”
Our mistakes. If we shipped the wrong item, we will cover all shipping costs to correct it, and no restocking fee applies.
Refunds. Once we receive and inspect an authorized return, we will refund the approved amount to your original payment method within 10 business days. Items returned damaged, incomplete, or used may be refused or refunded at a reduced amount.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Excluded damages. Rover will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, loss of use, or loss of data, arising out of or related to any product or these Terms, even if we were told such damages were possible.
- Cap.Rover's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to a product or these Terms will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the specific product that gave rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
13. Disputes and Governing Law
Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, please contact us at info@followrover.com and describe the issue. We will both try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Where disputes are heard. Any lawsuit arising out of or related to these Terms or a purchase must be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any right you have under your state's law to bring a claim where you live.
14. General Terms
Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, carrier or supplier failures, labor disputes, government actions, or utility or internet outages.
Entire agreement. These Terms, your order confirmation, and any written quote we provide are the entire agreement for your purchase. If a written quote conflicts with these Terms, the quote controls only for the specific terms it addresses (such as price, quantity, and shipping cost).
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable part will be enforced to the greatest extent allowed.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms except as stated in Sections 9 and 10. We may assign these Terms to a successor or affiliate.
